Hello friends, and welcome to the end of 2019. It feels so strange to acknowledge the end of the decade, especially because it’s been so eventful for my family. In the past 10 years I’ve gotten married, given birth to 2 gorgeous little girls, moved to a new part of the country, and began chronicling my book journey on Goodreads, the blog, and Instagram! To say that I’m excited to see what 2020 brings would be an understatement, but it feels wrong to jump into a new season without first sharing what my favorite books of 2019 were. Below, I’m including the covers of all 10 of my favorites in no particular order, and will include links to my reviews on Goodreads below. What were some of your favorite books this year?
REVIEWS:
- Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
- Miracle Creek by Angie Kim
- Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
- 11/22/63 by Stephen King
- Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
- After the Flood by Kassandra Montag
- The Grace Year by Kim Liggett
- Run Away by Harlan Coben
- The Lost Man by Jane Harper
- Recursion by Blake Crouch
I am reading Recursion now! It has been a trip!

All but two are on my shelf and I’ve read four of them (agree they should be on this list!)💜 Glad you had such a great reading year and a decade of momentous experiences, Chelsea!
