Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like they spend as much time scouring for new books than they do reading the ones they have? I’ll admit that I have a serious problem when it comes to biting off more than I can chew in review copies, but I never feel guilty adding books to my “to be purchased” list, because really that’s just make believe and it doesn’t count. I’ve been limiting the amount of thrillers in my reading rotation at the moment, so I thought it would be fun to share with you some of the lighter reads that I’m excited to be published in 2018. Do you see any familiar authors? Any books you’re looking forward to as well? Do you switch up your genre reading or typically stay with the same type of books year round?

Oooh, didn’t know Nicola Moriarty is getting a new one out! I read the fifth letter, and it was quite good. Love the sound of her new book too.

I still need to read that one. I’ve actually not read a book by her yet but I’m dying to break that this year!

The cover for Blind Kiss looks sooooo good but so far it only has a 3 star rating on Goodreads
I hope it’s better than it looks! Might just pick it up anyway!

Well, I’m not sure at this point any credible reviews have been released so I would wait until closer to pub date and see how the ratings look then. 😜

I was just thinking I need to shake up my reading stack because 95% of the time i read suspense/thriller/mystery, Just read Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella and that was a wonderful change of pace.. a palate cleanser if you will. I’m intrigued by the Kristin Higgins (new to me) and the Nicola Moriarty (also new to me)

The Simple Wild looks good!! I haven’t heard of that author before which is exciting!! Love finding new authors!! I am a moody reader, so I definitely switch up genres regularly!

🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻 Always looking for new books before reading the ones I actually have! You know, #goodreadsproblems.
I try to alternate between dark and light or else I get into a funk. And nobody likes a funk.

I love all the covers except Blind Kiss, sorry :-). It’s just so dark and she doesn’t look so interesting to me either. I really should read more contemporary, looking at these covers is so uplifting 🙂
