PIFM: March 2018

Guys, it’s a new year which means TIME TO CLEAR THAT BACKLIST! Or at least pretend we’re going to. While I’m not ambitious enough to believe I’ll actually clear my shelves of all the unread books I own, I am going to make sure I’m reading some older books each month and keep them rotating around with all the review copies. How will I do that you may ask? If you’re a member of the A GOOD THRILLER group on Goodreads then you know where this is going. If not, let me elaborate. I give full credit for the “Pick It For Me” idea I’m using to the group and it’s moderators as this was developed by them and I’m just using it for my own backlog here.

Basically, I will provide a list of books that I’m wanting to read below and you all will vote on your number one choice that I should read for the month! I’ll keep a tally going and whichever book has the most votes by March 1st is the winner! If I clear out my scheduled TBR before the end of the month then I will add on the #2 book and so on… I haven’t decided if I want to do themes for these each month or what, so bare with me as I play around with the idea and get it going full speed. Below are the four books I chose this month (I decided to choose the four oldest books from the second shelf on my first bookcase) along with the link to read more about them on Goodreads. Ready? Here we go!

  1. I choose The Lying Game for you, because selfishly I haven’t read it and would love your take on it, since I really enjoy your style of reviewing 🙂 Thanks!

  2. I’ve read three of the four (missing You Don’t Know Me..which now I feel like I should add to MY list) I vote for Force of Nature. Jane Harper didn’t disappoint

  3. PIFM ~ what a fun concept!! I have read ALL of them except Force of Nature, which I’m reading right now. I like them all, so I hope that you do end up reading all of them. My favorite of the bunch is Lie To Me, and I liked the Lying Game too. Let us know the winner!

  4. Vote for Force of Nature from me!! I have only read The Dry but it was so good I feel like I can already love the second. The Lying Game by Ruth Ware was just ok for me but it’s the only one on the list I’ve read already 😉

  5. The only book I’ve read is The Lying Game. While I did enjoy the story, a couple of the characters were a little annoying.

I haven’t read Lie to Me yet, but I’m a fan of JT Ellison and have read most of her other books. I’d give my first vote to her book and then my second to The Lying Game.

  6. Ahhhh tough choices 🙈 I’m *dying* to finish my current backlog so I can get to Force of Nature while The Dry is still fresh in my mind 🙂 So I’m gonna vote for that so you and your awesome reviews will convince me to get my act together and read it, too 😉
