Earlier this year, I reviewed a book from NetGalley titled When They Come Calling by Sarah F. Montford. While this read was completely different than the typical book I would pick up, I saw a raving review on Goodreads by a friend who I have similar tastes of books in, so I figured I’d give it a try. I had no idea it would be such a fantastic read! While their plots are completely different, this book and the show True Blood gave me a similar feeling once they were finished. Again, plots are COMPLETELY different; this is not a vampire book but it does include many paranormal aspects with a twist I haven’t seen done before (basing this on the content material, not how it was revealed). In case you missed my review when initially posted, I’ve included it HERE for your convenience. The purpose of this post is to bring attention to the Kickstart Campaign going on to raise funds for book#2 in the Anna’s Nightmare series, When They Come True. I truly believe in the quality of this series and it’s importance to provide a different genre of reading material than seems to be offered these days; there is such a blending of different subjects here that I think it could appeal to more readers than are biting if they were willing to give it a go. I’ve included the Kickstarter campaign link below, which includes a video teaser for When They Come True and information for sharing the campaign on social media or donating if you feel led to. The author is also offering up 2 signed paperback copies of her first book, When They Come Calling (you can enter HERE) along with 14 kindle copies to the first 14 of my blog subscribers who follow Sarah on Amazon! (These are for US account holders only; enter for kindle copies HERE!)
Review of Ch. 1- When They Come True:
So I had the privilege of reading the very first chapter of the next book in the Anna’s Nightmare series; it hasn’t been sent to edits, yet it still was fantastic! Needless to say, it picks up right where we left off in book 1 and the action starts on the very first page. I love how the author knows just how to grab my attention and keep it; the romance in these books isn’t nauseating or gross, its just enough without going over the top to keep a realistic aspect to the novels. I thought she did a great job of laying everything out in book 1 for a continuous flow in book 2, and I can’t wait to see how the story continues. I desperately need to read the rest!!!
