HEY Y’ALL!
Look who is finally getting on top of things and writing more than just reviews and interviews! I’m going to attempt to include a post of my week at a glance to highlight some of my bookish news for the past 7 days. This will likely consist of books I’m reading, books I’ve won in various giveaways or swaps, and books publishers have sent me (although some might be ones I just had to buy!). I’d love feedback from anyone who has read (or has added to Mount TBR) the books I post about! I’ve got the littlest Humphrey with me today helping round up my week; she wanted me to include her since she’s home sick today. 😦
#AMREADING:

I’ve been holding on to this gem of a book for awhile now, as I am participating in her upcoming blog tour and didn’t want my review sitting for too long. This is a psychological thriller tied into a domestic suspense with all the intrigue and compulsive readability you could ask for. I’m only about 1/3 into it, but I have a feeling this will be a “stay up all night and finish the dang thing” kind of book. I can’t seem to devour this one fast enough! My stop on the blog tour, where my full review will be posted, is September 22. You can look for this one to be published by Atria Books on September 27.

So I have really gotten drawn in to reading YA novels again; there are some really great ones out there and I have loads to catch up on, but I felt this was a great place to start as Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows #2) is published at the end and I’m one of the first on hold at the library. I can truly see what all the fuss is about; it took me about 50 pages to really become engrossed as there are lots of names and places to keep track of in this fantasy world. Once I had the gist down though, I was hooked and still am. I’m glad I put this one off for a year so I don’t have to wait forever with a cliffhanger. 🙂 Crooked Kingdom is published by Orion Children’s Books on September 27, so go ahead and place a hold at your local library before it’s booked up.

I’m new to Carla Neggers’ novels, but I’m really enjoying my first experience with her work! This book is technically book #6 in the Sharpe & Donovan series, but so far the author has done a fantastic job of catching me up to speed in this book to where I feel like I have the pertinent back story. An engrossing romantic suspense, this one is a quick read that I am looking forward to reviewing. I’m planning on doing an interview/giveaway with the author but am still firming up a date on that, so stay tuned!
GIVEAWAY WINNINGS:

So… this book. ❤ I snagged a copy off of Edelweiss, but was a little bummed because LOOK AT THAT COVER! It’s gorgeous! And I wanted to hold this one in my hands, so I had been putting off reading and reviewing it. Well, I woke up this morning and found out I won a copy via Goodreads Giveaway courtesy of William Morrow books! Cue all of the excitement and party emojis! I thoroughly cannot wait to read this one; Peter Swanson has quickly taken the genre by storm and is growing a following (read army) of blood thirsty thriller readers and WE WANT MORE. This one isn’t published until January 10th of 2017, but if you’re like me and haven’t read all his older books just yet, you can check out The Kind Worth Killing and The Girl With A Clock For A Heart while you wait.

I guess Goodreads was feeling me this week, because I also snagged a copy of this one courtesy of Crooked Lane Books. This is the first in a new medical mystery series by Lucy Kerr (pen name for Erin O’Rourke) and another new author for me. I couldn’t pass up entering this giveaway after reading the summary introducing us to ER nurse Frankie Stapleton; I was planning on buying this one if it didn’t come through. Excited to read it and see how she decides to begin what seems to be an exciting new series! Publication date on this one is set for December 13, just in time to make it a brilliant Christmas present for your mystery loving bookworm!
PUB(LISHER) LOVE:

Ok, so I know I’ve already read this one and reviewed it HERE, but it was just the best and Dutton is a fantastic publisher; they sent me a hardcover finished copy for my collection because they know how much I LOVE Myron Bolitar (and of course Win and Esperanza and Big Cyndi OK I LOVE THEM ALL!). It was so kind of them and I cannot wait to share the booklove with my book buds! Publication date on this one is September 20th which is right around the corner. Don’t worry though, there’s still plenty of time for you to pre-order your copy!
I was lucky enough to get 2 review copies from MIRA Publishers this week on the same day! Both are thriller/mysteries and look fantastic. Only Daughter is author Anna Snoekstra’s debut novel, while Stalked is book #4 in The Profile series by Elizabeth Heiter. Only Daughter‘s publication date is right around the corner on September 20, while Stalked isn’t set to come out until December 27. I have plans for an interview with both ladies and look forward to sharing them with you!
Well, that rounds up this week folks. Have you read any of these books? Are any on your ever growing “To Be Read” list? Be sure to shoot me a message or comment if you’d like to see a review on a particular book. Have a great weekend folks and see you next week!
You’ve got some pretty interesting reads on the list and I’m now inclined to add them to my never-ending TBR list. Oh the whoas of being a reader 😁. Hope your little one gets better. She’s adorable

Gasp! People actually win stuff from Goodreads?! xD I have entered their giveaways for 3 years now and never any luck, so was kind of beginning to wonder if the whole thing was a myth ;). Congrats to you, though!! 🙂 And I hope your wee one gets better soon!

I’ve been dying to read so many of the books on here! I have Stalked in the mail to me right now, super excited for that one. The Kate Moretti is another I’ve been eyeballing for awhile as well as Liars Key. And you already know about my obsession with Harlan Coben 😂😍 fantastic stuff coming up for you girl!
